National Indigenous Dialysis and Transplantation Conference

Save the Date – National Indigenous Dialysis and Transplantation Conference
Double Tree Alice Springs, 20-22 October 2019

The Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand, represented by the National Indigenous Kidney Transplantation Taskforce, will host the inaugural National Indigenous Dialysis & Transplantation Conference at The DoubleTree Hotel Alice Springs from 20-22 October 2019. The meeting will focus on dialysis and transplantation issues that affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, capturing the end-stage kidney disease journey from the commencement of renal replacement therapy through to the management of post-transplant care. The Conference will explore these issues through a multidisciplinary lens, with a diverse cohort of speakers representing a range of fraternities including nephrology, nursing, primary care and allied health. Registration is expected to open in August, and experts from a range of backgrounds are encouraged to book their place including primary care, allied health, research, public policy, clinical, data settings and consumers (i.e. patients and carers with lived experience of dialysis and transplantation). Further updates will be released in the coming months, including a provisional conference agenda.

Registration details will be available here soon.
